The society of Motor Manufacturer and Traders (SMMT) has recently surveyed a considerable rise in the sale of new cars in the month of May 2010. This increase has been reported to be about 13.5 percent. They have calculated this percentage of increase in the car owners from the number of people who have been applying for registration at their summit. This increase is due to the infusion of new car models from the manufacturer part. It is more likely that the rate would dip in the second half due to scrappage scheme.
